Shepherd's Pie vs. Cottage Pie
Shepherd's Pie originated in England and is a prevalent traditional dish in Ireland. Many may also call it Cottage Pie here in the States, but there's a difference between them.
Luckily it's as simple as changing out one ingredient in this Easy Shepherd's Pie recipe to make it an Easy Cottage Pie Recipe.
The difference is in the meat.
A Shepherd's Pie calls for ground lamb, and a Cottage Pie calls for Ground beef.
You can make Irish Pub-Style Cottage or Shepherd's Pie with just one recipe. And both are amazing.
