Hey there! I'm so glad that you've found your way to Chicken Fried Kitchen. Here is a just a little bit about me and how this blog came to be.
I'd like to start by saying this, if I can tell you one thing about me, I already feel so much more comfortable with this blog than I have any other project before. I feel like I can be myself because I'm truly mixing my top two passions, photography and cooking.

The Author
My name is Jeremy Klae. I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska but have been calling Texas home for the past 11 years. I'm a Son, Husband, Dad, and Self-taught Portrait Photographer that loves to cook! Thats what what gave me the confidence to start this blog in the first place. However, it wasn't my main motivation.
Motivation
In March of 2020 I was let go from a remote sales position. It was the beginning of the US truly feeling the impact of the COVID Pandemic and many people found themselves in the same position.
We were all given a stay at home order, stores were closed, or limiting visits and throttling the amount of purchases you could make. Restaurants weren't open and were suffering severely.
My goal in starting Chicken Fried Kitchen was to help those that didn't normally cook at home learn how to do so while I was learning how to take my culinary skills to the next level.
This blog has already taken me in so many different directions that I couldn't have imagined from the beginning. Chicken Fried Kitchen has become a brand and is now offering a full service delivery only artisan bakery based in Lindale, Tx.
Chicken Fried Kitchen's Lindale Bagelbox offers Fresh Gourmet Bagels, Artisan Bread Loaves, Jumbo Muffins, Farmhouse Cinnamon Rolls, and Cast Iron Cookies. All of our products are baked fresh and personally delivered within a 5 town radius of East Texas.
The Future
At this point in time this whole thing isn't about me. it's my goal to take everyone at every cooking level along this culinary journey. Trying new recipes and making all kinds of home cooked meals from the most comforting comfort foods to beautiful gourmet meals alike.
I'll be sharing recipes that I've personally tried, served, and have gotten only the best responses on. So basically, I'll only send you in the right direction!
I grew up with a Grandma and Mom that truly could and can cook their asses off! I've learned a lot from them and am so excited not only to pass that a long to my Kids and Grandkids, but to you as well.
You see, I love all kinds of food and sharing it with all kinds of people.
While I would say in my heart, I'm a meat and potatoes guy through and through, I also want that heart to keep on tickin' so not all recipes that I make is fried, smoked, greased, or even high in calories.
In fact, five days out of the week I eat a fairly strict diet. Thats not to say that I don't thoroughly enjoy the other two days! I DO!
