Knowing how to make Garlic Butter is essential in every home cook's playbook. The creamy texture and savory flavor work perfectly with many other dishes. No matter how you use your Garlic Butter, it all turns out better with the Butter!

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

This recipe is straightforward and versatile. In addition to the ease, the texture and flavor are insanely delicious. There are many variations and opinions on what should go into the Butter. I've found this to be the perfect mix, and I'm sure you'll love it! Use this as a starting point, get creative, and change some things. It's hard to mess up some butter!

    Ingredients

    • Unsalted Butter
    • Minced Garlic
    • Fresh Chives
    • Fresh Italian Parsley
    • Ground Black Pepper

See the recipe card below for full information on ingredients and quantities.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

This recipe is about as easy as it gets. The most crucial part is ensuring you work with softened room-temperature butter.

This is why I like making garlic butter directly in a butter dish. Let the Butter sit out overnight in the butter dish. By the next day, your Butter will be nice and soft, ready for added flavor.

Fresh herbs chopped on a wooden cutting board.

Step 1: Prepare the chives and Italian Parsley by finely dicing them all.

Step 2: Add all the ingredients to the softened Butter and stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
