Ingredients

  • 6 Strips Thick Cut Bacon
  • 1 Yellow or White Onion - diced
  • 1 Head Green Cabbage - thinly sliced or shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Heat a 12-inch Cast Iron Skillet over medium-high heat and begin frying the bacon. Once the bacon has cooked, remove it and set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion to the skillet, sauté until turning translucent.
  • Next, add and cook down the Cabbage until the whole head has been placed Into the skillet.
  • Slice the bacon into bits and add it back to the skillet.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, stir to incorporate, reduce heat to medium-low, and sauté until the Cabbage has fully wilted down but isn't mushy, about 5 minutes.
